Author:
but_can_i_be_trusted [formerly cyberiad_queen]
Fandom: The Legend of Zelda (Spoilers for 'Tears of the Kingdom'
Characters: King Rauru

100words
Artist: Gary Puckett & The Union Gap
Album: Greatest Hits
Song: 'Over You'
Summary: Duty is a weighty burden, when everything looks so bleak.
Rauru's world feels smudged in gray. He can feel walls closing in all around, even deep within his heart and mind.
Sonia is dead. His Queen. His love. Cruelly stolen from him, the first victim of Ganondorf's lust for power.
But Rauru remains Hyrule's King. He must protect the land, and its people. As much as he could lose himself in his grief, that is a luxury that he can ill afford.
Duty is a weighty burden, when everything looks so bleak. But sweet Sonia would surely insist that he press on.
For her memory's sake, Rauru must keep going.
