But Ganondorf has his reasons. He hadn't expected for Rauru and Sonia to possess such strength, themselves. He must lull them into a false sense of security, the better to see this might for himself.
The better to claim it for his own.
Toward that end, Ganondorf will do whatever he must. Even if it should mean to put on a false display of weakness. The ends will justify the means.
He will break this arrogant King Rauru.
He will break the heart of Hyrule, itself.

You had to help her. It nearly cost you everything. But you've been so accustomed to trying to champion the innocent that you saw no choice, apart from swooping in.
There was no time to be disappointed to see that she wasn't who you thought. When your dragon was forcibly fused with Kyurem, there was nothing you could do.
Rosa steps in, in answer to your plea. Despite never having met you; despite not being sure of what's going on around her. Rosa steps forward to save your dragon, though she was nearly killed only minutes ago.
It takes a brave heart to do something so risky. To put the idea of one's own peril aside, and help someone else in a crisis. The same sort of unwavering heart that you remember Hilda having.
The same sort of heart that Rosa has.
